DanceMaster is a music player designed for rehearsal. When you rehearse, you often need to play part of a piece of music over and over again, and you need to be able to quickly jump to important points in the piece. DanceMaster is optimized to help you easily break down, practice, memorize, and teach choreographies. AGAIN! Every time you pause the music, DanceMaster returns to the last place you started playing. This makes it easy to practice to a section of the music over and over again. FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT... DanceMaster allows you to set cues in the music that you can easily jump to at any time. In addition, you can add a configurable lead-in time to all cues in a choreography. The lead-in time sets the jump point for each cue a little before the actual cue time, giving you time to count in, but keeping your cue marks where they should be. REHEARSAL SPEED You can easily change the tempo of the song for a choreography. Tempo adjustment can be turned on and off without losing the selected tempo, which is great for switching between rehearsal and performance tempos. If you supply the original tempo for a piece of music (either via the "BPM" field in iTunes, or by setting it directly in the app), DanceMaster will show you tempo adjustments and cue lead-ins in beats instead of seconds. REMOTE CONTROLLED DanceMaster includes an Apple Watch app that allows you to control the music, jump to defined cues, and even change the tempo without having to go back to your phone. It's perfect for active rehearsals. DanceMaster also works with Control Center and can be controlled with any remote that works with iOS, including the standard iPhone earbud controls and external Bluetooth remotes. CALL IT FOR ME To help you memorize a choreography, DanceMaster can speak your cue names during playback, so you don't need to look at the screen or your notes while you rehearse. SUPPORT If you have any feedback or questions, we'd love to hear from you! You can reach us by email at info@dancemasterapp.com.

Version History This version introduces a new jump menu on the right side of the playback screen that makes it easy to jump back to the beginning of the choreography, or to the places you last started or stopped the music. This menu overlays the cue list, so you can always use the buttons, regardless of where in the cue list you are scrolled to. This change also fixes an issue where the cue list could automatically scroll to the top when playback was stopped, instead of to the cue containing the playback position. This new overlay menu appears in iOS 26 and up. Earlier OSs will continue to have "Last Start" and "Last Pause" in the top section of the cue list, but these entries have been fixed to not get automatically selected and mess up your scroll position. There are also some other bug fixes: - Fixed an issue where navigating to a playlist could cause the Add Choreography (+) button in the toolbar on the All Choreographies page to stop working. - Fixed some issues with maintaining the selected choreography state on iPad 3.2 Sep 14 Fixed an issue where the choreography player would scroll the cue list to the top when playing or pausing. The cue list now correctly maintains your scroll position, and during playback automatically keeps the current cue visible. 3.1 Jul 15 This version includes a totally rebuilt UI with lots of updates and modernizations, and a massive new feature: Playlists! A playlist system has been one of the top requested features for years, and it's finally here. You can now organize choreographies into playlists, to make it easier to find them. Playlists and choreographies in a playlist can be arranged in whatever order you would like. There's also a new "All Choreographies" list that contains all your choreographies, automatically sorted in alphabetical order. There's also major changes to the main playback screen, including: - A new lock feature to prevent accidental changes to choreographies - Better visibility and control of audio routing - More prominent display of the tempo/ speed control in the lower left - Most other choreography settings are now moved to a gear menu in the lower right. In addition, the app has a new application icon that supports dark mode and monochrome modes. 3.0 Jun 6 Minor bug fixes and updates including: - Fixed a case where some labels were not readable in dark mode - Fixed some display issues when searching in the choreography list 2.7.2 06/11/2024 Fixed an issue where playback settings were sometimes not showing up on iPad. 2.7.1 11/08/2023 It is now easier than ever to create a choreography from an existing audio file or DanceMaster choreography. When you create a new choreography (or when you update the music track for an existing choreography), you can now choose to import from a file on your device, rather than using music from your music library. This version also includes a updated Watch app that makes it more clear how to access playback features like tempo adjustment, and looks great on all the latest devices. 2.7 05/23/2023 Fixes a problem that could cause a crash on launch in iPadOS 14. 2.6 10/29/2020 This version contains a bunch of updates, including: - You can now read your choreography notes even when the associated music is missing from your library. - It's now harder to delete choreographies, so you are less likely to delete them by accident. - Improves the cue editor control for selecting the exact position of a cue to allow moving the cue anywhere in the audio track. - Cues now highlight during playback to indicate where you are. - Adds support for Dark Mode in iOS 13. - Better support for Apple Watch Series 4 and Series 5 screen sizes. This version also fixes an issue in iOS 13 where a black screen would appear when attempting to add a new choreography. If you have any feedback or questions, we'd love to hear from you!
